Most books about wine tasting and conservation
insist on the fact that a minimum
70% humidity level is critical
for the protection of your wines. VinoSafe
has not invented this fact! This way, you
discover that a ot of products are deceptive.
A real wine cabilnet is not a simple refrigerator!
PROOFS?
Heard
on the VinoSafe stand at a Paris show in
2005:
•"For
my 50th birthday, I was offfered a low end
wine cabinet, bought in a household appliances
retail shop. It was filled with bottles
of Bordeaux Primeurs, to be uncorked only
5 years after. At that time, when I started
to open them , it was a catastrophy, 80%
of the bottles were undrinkable!"
The
humidity level in this kind of cabinet placed
in a well heated appartment, had never been
higher than 40%. Corks had dried and the
wine had been oxided.
Read
on a website that is selling online (dec.
2005), about a household product :
•
"I bought one in September 2003 and I find
out that the corks arre getting dry and
that the engine starts to vibrate. I have
thus a very limited comfidence in its capacity
to conserve wine properly. This product
should be avoided, especially as the aftersales
management is dishonest."
